Intended use
A thorough S54 cylinder-head reconditioning package for street, restoration and track-service applications that can retain a serviceable OE valvetrain.
Build specification
- Complete disassembly and cleaning
- Inspection and measurement of the cylinder head and valvetrain components
- Leak, crack and pressure testing
- Five-angle valve job
- Deck trueness and surface-finish inspection, with resurfacing as required
- Attention to chamber hot spots, edges and valve unshrouding where appropriate
- New OE valve-stem seals
- Final inspection and assembly
Valves, guides and springs
Stage 1 retains serviceable OE valves, guides, springs and retainers. Worn or damaged parts are identified during inspection and quoted before replacement. This package does not automatically include the Stage 2 performance valvetrain.
Core options
- Send my cylinder head first: Your head is inspected before work begins. Additional damage or unusable components are quoted before proceeding.
- Core exchange—I need a head: CPe supplies the cylinder-head core for the listed exchange price. Core acceptance and return requirements are confirmed before the build is accepted.
