Planning basis: The target is selected from the vehicle’s condition, turbo, fuel system and emissions/exhaust configuration rather than advertised as a guaranteed number. Diesel output figures are planning references for a healthy vehicle using suitable diesel fuel—not guaranteed dyno results. Final output depends on baseline condition, fuel quality, hardware, weather, dyno type and calibration limits.

Who this path is for

F30/F31 328d and F25 X3 28d applications using the N47 diesel engine.

Start with the baseline

  • Confirm mechanical condition and resolve current faults before calibration.
  • Verify the exact engine, DME/software level, transmission and installed hardware.
  • Pressure-test the intake/charge system and review injector balance, fuel pressure, cooling and recent service history.

Recommended build path

Baseline

Resolve boost leaks, fuel-pressure faults, injector concerns and cooling issues before calibration.

Exhaust configuration

Kassel offers supported catted and non-catted downpipe configurations. The catted option uses a genuine GESI DOC catalyst and adds $300.

Calibration

The file is matched to the actual hardware and intended vehicle use.

Calibration and logging

Software and hardware compatibility are confirmed from the VIN and ECU information before work begins.

Logs should be reviewed for boost control, injection quantity, rail pressure, fueling, temperatures and torque intervention. Additional revisions or hardware may be required when the data shows a limitation.

Supporting considerations

  • Turbo and actuator condition
  • DPF/SCR system status
  • Fuel-filter and pressure history
  • Charge-air system condition
  • Transmission service history
  • Local emissions and road-use requirements

Before ordering

Send Kassel Performance the VIN, chassis, model year, engine, DME, transmission, fuel, turbo configuration and a complete modification list. We will confirm the correct service route before calibration begins.
