BMW S55 Custom Calibration — Stock Turbo to High-Output Builds
A vehicle-specific custom calibration for supported BMW S55 applications, covering stock-turbo cars, approved upgraded twin-turbo combinations, and carefully reviewed single-turbo or high-output builds.
Kassel Performance reviews the mechanical combination, fuel system, turbo system, sensors, DME access, tuning platform, and intended use, then coordinates the custom calibration workflow with Bend Calibration. High-output S55 combinations require approval before purchase.
Calibration pricing
- Required base calibration — $1,000: stock-turbo, single-fuel calibration with two maps.
- Flex-fuel calibration add-on — $200.
- Reflex integration and tuning add-on — $300.
- Upgraded hybrid-turbo calibration add-on — $400.
- Upgraded single-turbo calibration add-on — $400.
- Upgraded-motor calibration add-on — $200.
- Additional map — $250 each.
The $1,000 base calibration is required. Compatible add-ons may be selected independently. Choose only one upgraded-turbo path.
Optional hardware and access
- Compatible programming kit and tuning-platform license — $825.
- Bend Ultimate flex-fuel kit — $1,150: filter, sensor, PNP kit, and fast logging.
- Bend Ultimate flex-fuel filter-only kit — $625: for an existing compatible BM3 flex kit.
Choose either the complete flex-fuel kit or the filter-only kit—not both. Physical hardware requires shipping.
Before ordering
Application review is required. Send the VIN, model year, chassis, engine, DME software and unlock status, tuning platform, complete hardware list, fuel, current calibration, datalogs if available, and intended use.
What calibration pricing includes
- Application review and calibration planning by Kassel Performance.
- Custom calibration supplied through Kassel Performance with Bend Calibration.
- Base calibration, customer datalog review, and reasonable revisions during the agreed tuning window for the approved hardware and fuel combination.
Existing calibration retune: A retune requested after the agreed tuning window closes is $350 and is handled separately from a new $1,000 base-calibration order.
Software licenses, DME unlocking, shipping, installation, mechanical diagnosis, dyno time, sensors, supporting hardware, and changes made after the approved combination are not included unless specifically listed or quoted.
Fuel: 93-octane pump gasoline is the default unless another approved fuel is stated. Ethanol blends, race fuel, auxiliary fueling, upgraded turbos, and high-output combinations require application approval.
Important: Results vary with the vehicle, hardware, fuel quality, operating conditions, and calibration platform. No specific horsepower figure is promised. The vehicle must be mechanically sound before calibration work begins. Emissions-system removal or defeat is not included.
S55 EU5 injector note: EU5 injector calibration through BM3 is a $200 add-on. The guide specifies no additional EU5 calibration charge on supported MHD or EcuTek workflows.
