Its measurement data gives our technicians a precise basis for setting the vehicle, but the target specification still depends on the BMW chassis, suspension condition, available adjustment range, tires, ride height, and how the car will be used.

Corner balancing and track preparation

For supported vehicles with ride-height-adjustable suspension, Longacre scales can be used to evaluate and balance corner weights before the final alignment. Corner balancing is application-specific and is most useful when the vehicle, driver load, fuel level, and intended use are defined in advance.

Vehicle condition matters

An alignment cannot correct worn wheel bearings, loose ball joints, damaged suspension components, failed bushings, bent hardware, incorrect ride height, or tires that are unsuitable for the requested setup. If the vehicle needs repair or additional adjustable hardware before it can hold the requested settings, we will discuss that work separately.
